NCTR’s Transforming Educator Preparation Webinar Series Continues on April 30

April 7, 2026 — As we reflect on the past year, I am filled with gratitude for the collective commitment, innovation, and partnership that define our Network. Together, we have continued to advance a shared vision: preparing and sustaining an effective educator workforce through teacher residencies and registered teacher apprenticeship programs.

This year, our Network has deepened its focus on key levers that drive impact—partnership and design, financial sustainability, mentor recruitment and support, and the residency year experience. Across the country, you have led important work to strengthen programs, elevate mentorship, and expand pathways into teaching that are both rigorous and responsive to community needs. The progress we’ve made reflects what is possible when we learn from one another and remain grounded in evidence-based practice.

Through our Transforming Educator Preparation webinar series, we have created space for meaningful dialogue and shared learning. Together, we have explored foundational questions shaping the field, including how teacher residencies serve as a foundation for registered teacher apprenticeship programs and how to design impactful mentor learning experiences.

As we look ahead, we invite you to continue this important conversation by joining us for the final session in this year’s series:

Participants will gain insights into strengthening early childhood educator readiness, supporting multilingual learners, and aligning preparation programs with the evolving realities of classrooms and communities.

Your voice and experience remain essential to this work, and we hope you will join us to hear from and learn alongside an exceptional panel of leaders and practitioners who are advancing this work in the field. This conversation will offer an opportunity to gain new insights, explore promising practices, and be inspired by the ways programs across the country are strengthening educator preparation.
