October 31, 2022 — The National Center for Teacher Residencies’ (NCTR) Board member Travis J. Bristol and Conra D. Gist co-edit a new book, titled The Handbook of Research on Teachers of Color and Indigenous Teachers, published by the American Educational Research Association (AERA), which provides new research reaffirming why more teachers of color are needed in K-12 schools, and how to achieve recruiting and retaining them.
The article in Education Week also provides a nod to NCTR’s SEED grant work to improve & build new teacher residencies to recruit & retain teachers of color!
