November 4, 2026 — Preparing great teachers is only the beginning. Keeping them in the profession takes intentional investment, meaningful support, and the right conditions to thrive.
On November 5, the National Center for Teacher Residencies (NCTR) will host Building the Conditions: Retention Insights from the Boundless Educators Initiative, a webinar exploring how teacher residencies and registered teacher apprenticeship programs can help build a stronger, more sustainable educator workforce.
Drawing on findings from a newly released report on NCTR’s Boundless Educators Initiative (BEI), the webinar will explore how programs reduce financial barriers, expand holistic support for aspiring educators, and create pathways to long-term career success. Participants will gain insights into the practices and partnerships that strengthen educator persistence, improve retention, and help high-need schools build a stable workforce of well-prepared teachers who reflect the communities they serve.
This conversation is part of a broader effort to understand what it takes to move beyond preparing teachers for day one to supporting their success for years to come.
Join us in exploring what it takes to build a future where more teachers can enter the profession, stay, and thrive.
