NCTR launched its Black Educators Initiative in 2019 to support Network residency partners to improve the recruitment, development, and retention of Black educators, with the ultimate goal of improving student outcomes. In year three of the BEI, NCTR has increased the number of grantees this year to 20, the largest number to date. Among this year’s grantees are six new residency programs.
