November 12, 2024 — We are excited for the National Symposium for Educator Preparation, Policy, and Leadership to return for its second year in 2025, and NCTR is even more excited to have our collaborators join us in this important work in support of teacher preparation: American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (AACTE), Deans for Impact (DFI), The Hunt Institute, the Learning Policy Institute (LPI), the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS), the National Education Association (NEA), and Teacher-Powered Schools.
The National Symposium will be held April 9-11, 2025 at the Westin Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago.
The National Symposium collaborators are truly proud to share that the design and content for the event will be engaging and inspiring. There will be two national education leaders as keynote speakers and over 50 sessions from which to choose. The 2025 event will have more than 125 presenters engaging conference attendees in sessions to examine practice, research, and resources to develop connections and engage in coalition building.
National Symposium participants will learn from practice across 19 states as well as national efforts by state education agencies, county offices of education, districts, schools, teacher preparation programs, and community-based and national nonprofits to improve the recruitment, preparation, and retention of effective teachers with a focus on educators who represent, honor, and value the communities they serve.
Early-bird registration will officially go live on November 19, 2024! Tickets go fast, so you will want to purchase your tickets as soon as possible.
We hope to see you there!
Sincerely,
The National Symposium Design Team
