February 10, 2026 — Fall 2025 was an exciting semester for NCTR’s Design Academy. Consultants traveled across the country to meet and plan with design teams at Georgia State University, Grambling State University, University of Maryland Shores, DSST Public Schools in Denver, University of Montana-Western, and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
Our annual site visit was held November 12-14, 2025 in Denver, Colorado, at PEBC Teacher Residency. During the visit, participants saw the residency in action, visiting Mapleton Public Schools and conversing with residents, mentors, and school leaders. PEBC residency leaders also shared details about their residency year experience and resident and mentor recruitment and selection plans. We appreciate PEBC’s collaboration and willingness to share with design teams!
In 2026, NCTR consultants will continue to support teams as they solidify plans to launch and implement residency programs. This month, we will travel to Carlow University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for an in-person visit, and in March, Norman C. Francis Teacher Residency will host our BEI Design Academy site visit in New Orleans, Louisiana.
