Celena Brown

Celena Brown joined NCTR at the beginning of 2023 as the Director of Talent. In this role, she is responsible for human resource management including leading NCTR’s hiring process, onboarding, performance management, and employee benefits administration. Celena began her career in education as a Teach for America corps member in Jacksonville, Fla., where she taught eighth grade English. After five years of teaching in Florida and D.C., she joined a charter school as their Recruitment Manager leading the recruitment process for vice principals, teachers, and other school staff. She continued her experience in recruitment as an Executive Recruiter for a DEI-focused company helping organizations fill key leadership positions across the country.
