Forward Arkansas Invites NCTR to Present at Statewide Teacher Prep Convening

SHARE

April 2, 2024 — In March, the National Center for Teacher Residencies (NCTR) joined Forward Arkansas, a nonprofit that hosted the Design Collaborative, for a statewide convening focused on supporting teacher preparation programs and school districts to examine problems of practice and exchange ideas and strategies to improve the recruitment, preparation, and retention of educators, with a special emphasis on teacher residency programs.

NCTR’s CEO Kathlene Campbell, Ph.D., and Chief Growth Officer Jill Pitner led participants in sessions to examine research-based recruitment practices, resulting in high-quality, diverse teacher residents. Pitner said, “We had so much fun learning together, we had to take a picture!”
