Elizabeth Hearn serves as a Director of Programs at NCTR. She joined the staff in 2022, and in her role, she supports residencies in NCTR’s Network. Prior to joining the NCTR team, Elizabeth served as the founding director of the CREATE Teacher Residency in Atlanta. Since starting the program in 2012, CREATE navigated intense political challenges, secured multiple grants ($26M across 10 years), and developed engaged partnerships with a broad range of advocates. Elizabeth has also served as a science teacher and a researcher studying the neurophysiology of social attachment.
