This week, UTRU is releasing our annual Network Partner Program Report. The 2014-15 data reveals the continued impact of Network residency program residents, graduates, and mentors working in partnering high-need districts. The following are among the findings in our data collection. In 2014-15, UTRU Network Programs: —Prepared more than 2,600 graduates to serve high need students and schools —Experienced powerful retention rates of graduates: –84% have taught for 3 years in the partnering district –71% have taught after 5 years in the partnering district —Reported 31% of graduates teaching in a STEM subject and 31% teaching English language learners —Recruited and selected 557 new residents, with an average acceptance rate of 24% –37% of applicants accepted were career changers, entering the program with 3 or more years of work experience after college Read the full report here.
